Chris discovered brewing shortly after moving to Sanford in 2011, when his wife gifted him a class from the Sanford Homebrew Shop. He was hooked. The hobby became his passion with him brewing nearly every weekend. He joined the Brew Club of Seminole County where he became a charter member. Not long after Sanford Brewing Company (SBC) served its first samples in 2014. SBC had acquired a Sanford location, when serendipitously Chris recognized, Allan Jackson, someone he’d worked with previously, at a brew club meeting. The two started talking and realized they both were serious about brewing professionally and a partnership was born. SBC now serves over 25 different beers, has contract brewed for four other breweries in the area and is distributed in 3 Central Florida markets. The brewery, taproom and restaurant are located in Historic Downtown Sanford, the 1930’s building revitalized to honor its heritage. SBC has developed a reputation of delivering consistent, high quality beer, food and service with southern hospitality. Sanford Brewing Company officially opened in Oct 2016, and has recently announced the opening of a new location in Maitland City Center, scheduled for the end of 2018.
