John Meissner




John Meissner is an independent consultant working with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's (NREL) wind energy program, where he helps manage the Performance Risk, Uncertainty, and Finance (PRUF) working group and the Wind Plant Performance Prediction (WP3) benchmark project. Previously, he spent several years at the U.S. Department of Energy, where he co-founded DOE’s Atmosphere to Electrons (A2e) research program and launched the original implementation of PRUF. John’s background includes wind technology investment strategy, R&D planning, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement. John holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
