La Porte ISD


Cheryl Sloan is currently the School Nutrition Training Coordinator for La Porte ISD in the Houston area and in her 13th year with school nutrition. She is a graduate of the College of New Jersey with a BS in Accounting. After spending 10 years in corporate America as a mutual fund accountant, she found a new career path when in 2009 she moved to Texas with her husband and two young children. It all started with a part-time cafeteria staff position. On weekends you can find her in the garden or at her craft table.
