John Cosby is the director of solution architects for the Intelligence & Security (I&S) sector of BAE Systems, Inc. I&S is comprised of 7,000 employees across the United States and abroad with annual revenue of $1.7 billion. The sector is a leader in providing large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains for the U.S. Department of Defense, intelligence community, federal civilian agencies, and troops deployed around the world. In his role, John is responsible for overseeing a team of engineers responsible for developing technical solutions that address customer challenges and create business discriminators. He also works closely with the chief technology officer on the sector’s enterprise strategy and long-term technology roadmap. John has more than 25 years of engineering experience and specializes in software development, cybersecurity, cloud, systems engineering, and systems architecture. Prior to joining BAE Systems in 2014, he held similar roles with Leidos and SAIC. As a recognized industry expert, John frequently speaks at customer conferences and presents on various industry trends and best practices at customer technical forums. John has a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications and Computers from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi.
