Norwood “Rob” Dennis joined Augusta University as Executive Director of Corporate Relations in November 2015. He comes to Augusta University with over seventeen years of hands-on senior management and experience in leadership, strategic planning, business development, fund raising, and research. His arrival follows a 10-year tenure as CEO/President of the National Science Center (NSC) & National Science Center Foundation (NSCF). Additionally, Dennis was a principal and officer of CATSCAN 2000 where he ensured the implementation and process improvement of operations. This successful start-up became the nation’s largest resource for mobile medical CT service, providing thoracic, abdominal/pelvic and cardiac scoring studies. Dennis also worked a multi-year research appointment at the VA Medical Center with the Neurosurgery Department at the Medical College of Georgia and Psychiatry Department at the VA Medical Center where he co-authored eight (8) publications regarding Lateralized effects of unilateral temporal lobectomy on autonomic responsiveness and Non-drug treatments of chronic vascular headaches. A native of Augusta, GA and alum of Augusta University, Dennis has championed the importance and relevance of education with particular emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). His focus on partnerships with industry, government, and academia for resourcing, awareness, and outreach is tailored to meet the specific needs of end-users and underwriters.
