Robert Bennett has been promoting economic development in the Greater Augusta area for nearly 8 years. In his career, he has worked for the S.C. Department of Commerce, Greenwood Partnership Alliance and Augusta Economic Development Authority before joining the Development Authority of Columbia County as Executive Director. He has supported companies of all shapes and sizes including GIW Industries, Rockwood Pigments, Starbucks, and Urban Outfitters, to name a few. Robbie believes in the value of community involvement. He is on the executive board of the SRS Community Reuse Organization, Advisory Board of TAG Augusta, and served on the Augusta Regional Development Alliance & CSRA Unified Development Authority, Greater Augusta Arts Council plus many more. Robbie holds Bachelor Degree from Lander University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Carolina.
