David Gianotten is the Managing Partner-Architect of OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture). As such, he is responsible for the overall management, business strategy, and growth of the company worldwide. As Partner-in-Charge David currently oversees the design and construction of various projects, including the Taipei Performing Arts Centre in Taipei, the Prince Plaza Building in Shenzhen, the KataOMA resort in Bali, the New Museum for Western Australia in Perth, the masterplan of Feyenoord City - including the architectural design of new Stadium Feijenoord - in Rotterdam, and the Bajes Kwartier - a conversion of a large 1960’s prison - in Amsterdam. David has amongst others been responsible for the design and realization of parts of the CCTV headquarters in Beijing, realization of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in Shenzhen, and the recent MPavilion 2017 in Melbourne. David’s work is published worldwide and several of his projects have received international awards in various categories. David gives lectures around the world mainly related to his projects and specific topics such as the future development of the architectural profession, context, and risk in architecture.
