Giovanna Dondossola is Leading Scientist at the Department Transmission and Distribution Technologies of the Research Center for Energy Systems, RSE Spa Italy, where she manages and technically leads European and National research projects on the cyber risk evaluation in energy systems. She is also responsible of the RSE PCS-ResTest Lab for the resilience testing of grid control networks evaluating security standard solutions. She is an active member of several Working Groups on regulatory and standardization activities at International, European and National Level. Within Cigrè WGs on information systems and telecommunication security she currently is the chair of the Advisory Group D2.02 on cyber security. She contributes to the smart grid standardization activities within CEN/CENELEC/ETSI and as a member of the IEC TC 57 WG15. She was a member of the Energy Expert Cyber Security Platform expert group of the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission. At the national level, she serves as a Secretary of the CEI CT 57 on power system communications. Giovanna Dondossola co-authored more than 110 publications in international conferences, journals and books, and made several speeches at panels and tutorials, and lectures for industrial training on the cyber security of energy control systems.
