Maria-Iro Baka graduated from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens in July 2010. She obtained her PhD degree in November 2017 where she specialized in improving the performance of PV installations under non-uniform conditions. Her work during her PhD has led to two patents, an international journal paper and several conference papers. Her scientific interest is on the field of Renewable Energy Sources and their integration on the grid and she has background knowledge in computer and control engineering. Currently she is working in the start-up company Community Energy River as a CTO.
