Chris leads Pinsent Masons’ technology team’s work in the energy sector. He is recognised as a leading adviser to the UK's smart meter roll-out and has worked on a significant number of smart meter projects for a range of clients including utilities, technology providers and funders. Chris also works with Smart DCC, the body responsible for delivering the central data and communications hub that sits at the centre of the UK’s roll-out of smart energy technologies. In addition to his focus on the energy sector, Chris has a track record of advising knowledge creators, including research universities, on the development, protection and commercialisation of disruptive technologies. Drawing this experience together, Chris is working with clients to help them develop and use new connected technology within our energy infrastructure in order to optimise performance, improve process and enable better management of demand, including through better collection, analysis and use of data.
