Holger Wolfschmidt is Market Applications Director at Fluence Energy. He focuses on new applications for stationary energy storage solutions within EMEA with special focus in frequency regulation. Holger has a long experience in batteries, battery systems and markets for storage. Prior to joining Fluence Holger worked for Siemens as Senior Key Expert with focus on electrochemical energy storage systems in the Corporate Units and as Product Portfolio Manager for Siestorage in the Energy Management Division. He published more than 50 patent applications and 13 peer reviewed journal papers. Holger passed state examination in Mathematics and Physics, holds M.Sc. in Engineering Physics and a PhD in Physical Chemistry, all from Technical University of Munich.
