Farah Ahmed is the president and CEO of Fragrance Creators Association, the U.S. fragrance industry’s association. Working with with an incredible staff, Board of Directors, and membership – fragrance houses, suppliers, and consumer product companies – Ahmed helps lead efforts towards science-based policies and greater public knowledge and appreciation of fragrance. Most recently, the association has protected coumarin from Prop 65 listing, negotiated California legislation that balances consumer interests with meaningful fragrance IP protection, and launched Fragrance Notes—www.fragrancenotes.org—the fragrance industry’s first-ever magazine. As a little girl growing up in Canada, Ahmed secretly played with her mother’s perfumes, blending them into unique combinations for her classmates.
