“Perfumery is my mind at play. I believe in a recreational approach to life and fragrance.” Raised in a traditional Korean household of defined Confucian values against the backdrop of liberal western America, Linda Song equally identifies with both as a Korean-American. After spending a year in the North of France, she studied at ISIPCA in Versailles to complete her masters degree. This in combination with her three years at the Givaudan perfumery school in Paris added another dimension to the disparate cultures which have created the foundation for her current work and inspirations as a perfumer. Always the adventurer, whether it be a new experience in Brooklyn where she resides, or on her travels to places across the world, she’s on a constant search for new inspirations, interactions and knowledge.
