With 25 years’ experience in the fragrance industry, Neil Owen is head of analysis in regulatory affairs and product safety in the fragrance division of the Swiss company Givaudan. For a decade, Neil has performed several roles at Givaudan, with a great focus on his area of expertise in separation sciences and mass spectrometry as tools for understanding the analysis and functionality of fragrances and fragrance materials. Before he joined Givaudan, Neil worked at Quest International and prior to that worked for the UK Environment Agency. He has also held the position of laboratory manager in contract research supporting global commercial oil exploration activities. Neil holds the distinction of Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and is qualified to Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) status.
