Gilles received his PhD in organic chemistry in 1996. Starting his career at Rhône-Poulenc and Aventis as head of process chemistry, Gilles joined Firmenich in 2009, as VP of synthesis. In 2015, he was promoted to his current role in which he oversees all chemistry activities from discovery and launch of new F&F ingredients to the improvements of chemical processes of Firmenich's existing ingredient portfolio.
