Veronique Scailteur is the director external relations perfumes at Chanel since July 2017, where she works closely with the laboratory of fragrance creation and development. She worked as an independent consultant from mid 2015 to mid 2017 with the Brunswick group, an advisory firm in critical issues and corporate relations where she was mainly involved with public affairs matters. Until mid 2015, she headed the European Government relations and public policy office of Procter & Gamble in Brussels. With a diploma in pharmacy and a phD in toxicology, she previously held global responsibilities for product safety, health and environment risk assessment, risk management and regulatory affairs in P&G. Accustomed to dealing with policy matters in a complex European as well as global, business environment, she is experienced in lobbying, coalition building and working with multi-sectors and multi-interests groups. She is currently on the board of the Research Instititute of Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and collaborated in the past with IFRA on a project basis. Veronique worked with Cosmetics Europe (Cosmetics) as a board meber for a few years and chairing among others the perfume working group and the REACH chemicals working group. She presided or participated to groups in CEFIC, ACC and ECETOC (Chemicals), AISE and ACI (Detergents and Cleaning products), and EDANA (Non woven). She chaired the consumer policy and communication groups at AIM (Brands), Business Europe (Employers) and worked closely with AMCHAM EU (American Chamber of Commerce to the EU), FEA (aerosols) and WFA (advertisers). Veronique is founder of BELTOX, the Belgian Society of Toxicology, (co)-author of numerous scientific publications. She is fluent in French, English and Italian with good notions of Dutch. Belgian and based in Brussels, Veronique is passionate for arts working in her free time (!) for etcART, the itinerary gallery she founded in 2014.
