Mike Optis is a senior scientist at NREL focusing on wind plant performance, mesoscale atmospheric modeling and observations, and uncertainty quantification. Prior to joining NREL, Mike was a senior analyst with AWS Truepower. Mike obtained his PhD in wind energy meteorology from the University of Victoria, Canada.
