Mr. Pogoreutz holds a Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering, passed with excellent results in 1997 at Graz University of Technology, Austria and started his career as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Thermal Engineering, Graz University of Technology TU Graz. In 2000 he joined ANDRITZ Energy & Environment (former AE&E Austria, Babcock Borsig Power respectively NEM-Austria), where he held several managing positions including Project Management (HRSG, triple pressure, reheat), Department Manager “Research & Development” (R&D) and Division Manager for Quality Management and R&D (Leadership of 35 employees with the following areas of responsibilities: Quality Management and Quality assurance, Fabrication monitoring and site management, Chemical laboratory and measurement, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) In November 2008 Mr. Pogoreutz has been appointed the Head of the Service Business Unit of ANDRITZ Energy & Environment with the global responsibility for all service activities for all kinds of ANDRITZ Energy & Environment’s technologies.
