James Huerta is a seasoned executive with decades of senior level management experience. He has held senior positions in a variety of industries, and this experience, together with his academic foundation in finance and management, has provided him with a broad understanding of corporate structures and operations.

Currently Mr. Huerta is the Managing Partner of The Nessa Group Inc., a New York based Strategic Business Consulting Firm, which provides its clients with services that include Capital Growth Strategies, Finance, Intellectual Property, Operations and Human Capital. The firm has become one of the best-known consulting/advisory firms in the Northeast focusing on Small, Medium Size Enterprises.

His public and academic sector commitments include Commissioner of Economic Development & Urban Redevelopment Commissions City of Stamford CT; team member of Innovating Stamford, which was in 2017 awarded by the State as the leading city for business development; and mentorship programs at Columbia University, UCONN, Startupalooza and 1 Million Cups. He is also a board member on the Stamford Partnership which directs Public, Private Partnerships in projects in the City of Stamford, CT.

In addition to his professional commitments, he has been an Executive Member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, now known as Prospanica, since 2000. He has held numerous board positions at the New York Chapter level, and Mr. Huerta served as the President of the New York Chapter from 2006 to 2008; Chair of the New York Advisory Board and the National Consultant; Business Development Executive for the Business Journal of Hispanic Research (BJHR), published by NSHMBA. Mr. Huerta served in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command. He is fluent in Spanish and of Cuban descent. He earned his BBA from Baruch College and his MBA from the University of New Haven.
