Reddymade Architecture and Design

A leader in global design culture, Suchi Reddy founded Reddymade Architecture and Design in 2002. The New York-based practice spans architecture, design, installation art, and sculpture with a diverse portfolio including public installations, adaptive reuse of historic buildings, large-scale commercial projects, and residential projects from micro-apartments to prefab. The firm’s guiding principle is “form follows feeling,” a design ethos informed by neuroaesthetics, that is, how the brain responds to the design of our surroundings. The strong belief that good design calibrated carefully to the human, positively influences wellbeing, creativity, and productivity, and informs all projects from conception to details. Recent and upcoming projects include the first flagship Google retail space in New York, rated LEED Platinum and celebrating the act of humanizing technology; an interactive AI and light sculpture, entitled “me+you” to be unveiled Fall 2021 at the Smithsonian’s Arts and Industries Building (Washington, D.C.), powered by Amazon Web Services; “A Space For Being,” a collaborative installation with Google, the International Arts + Minds Lab at Johns Hopkins University, and Muuto, measuring impacts of neuroaesthetic design principles; and 30,000sf of amenities for a Sunny Isles, FL, condominium project with lobbies designed with the late Karl Lagerfeld.
