Based in Bracknell, UK, Scott Petersen is responsible for leading the growth of Honeywell’s Smart Grid Solutions business in Europe. This is principally around demand response, demand management and energy efficiency solutions for utilities, aggregators and other players in the energy supply sector. Scott works closely with Honeywell’s European Country teams to identify and target new opportunities then deploy smart grid solutions on a local basis, aided by the support of Honeywell’s global Smart Grid Solutions organisation. Scott also speaks regularly at smart grid and demand response conferences across Europe. Originally from New Zealand and with a mechanical engineering degree and MBA, Scott spent 20 years at international gases company BOC, latterly as global marketing and planning manager. He joined Honeywell as Energy Marketing & Strategy Director in 2008 after five years with French global energy management company Dalkia, heading their marketing operations.
