Marlisa is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator Author and Chef. She has been president of Total Wellness Inc. for more than 2 ½ decades and she served as the corporate Wellness Coordinator for Lackmann Culinary Services for 10 years. Marlisa is the recipient of many awards and she is an expert on gluten free diets and food allergies. Marlisa serves as the chair of the Gluten Intolerance Group of Long Island and is on the Editorial Advisory Committee for Todays Dietitian on Gluten-Free Diets. Marlisa has given hundreds of presentations, has made numerous television appearances including 5 years on “International Healthy Cooking” for The American Heart Association. Marlisa is author of “Gluten-Free Hassle Free”, The “Gluten-Free Hassle-Free Cookbook”, “Gluten Free Training Guide for Restaurants & Chefs” and “Easy, Gluten-Free”, other contributions include: Shape, Food Service Management, Newsday and Parenting Magazine, She has developed many programs including, Richard Simmons’ Food Mover Program, cookbooks, recipe cards, Kathy Smiths’ Project You II for Diabetes, Jorge Cruises’ 3-Hour Diet Cookbook, DR Vincent Pedres’ Happy Gut & Leslie Sansones’ Walk Away the Pounds.
