Project Leader
Phantasialand

David is a project manager at Phantasialand in Brühl (near Cologne) working on different projects within the park, the hotel resort and of course new developments. Studying Civil Engineering with Business Studies took David to Europa-Park in Rust for his thesis, developing a planning tool for master planning and planning of themed areas for the Visioneering Department. After, he took a little detour from the attractions industry, being the project engineer for a small marble company called Lasa Marmo in Northern Italy. Besides enjoying the great food and wine, he was working on the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York City designed by Santiago Calatrava. A beautiful building furnished with white Italian marble Lasa Marmo quarried, fabricated and delivered. In 2012 David and 6 others founded their own company to set up a Family-Entertainment-Center in Frankfurt/M called Fabula-Welt der Abenteuer (which means world of adventure) which opened its doors 2013. It has various attractions like lasertag, an interactive lasermaze and a unique 3D-high ropes course all story based on the fantasy world of Fabula. David also worked on projects as a freelancer. In 2017 David began working for Phantasialand on various great projects, from renovating artificial rocks in Africa (Black Mamba) to turning boring event locations to great places to have a good time. Now the biggest project he is working on, is bringing a new themed area called “Rookburgh” with its flying launched coaster to life.
