Michael has got a vast background on Air Pollution Control technologies, which he has acquired during years of successful operational and management activities including design, sales and contract execution in well reputed OEM companies. With joining E.ON in 2003, his insight into the power generation business has been expanded to the full spectrum of process optimization, operational and engineering support for the energy sector. He then joined the customer side as Manager of a large power plant group in Germany (total capacity 2.200 MW). Main challenge was to adapt the plant to the specific requirements of the energy transition in Germany. Thereafter, Michael spent 2 years abroad as Managing Director of the UK based Engineering subsidiary of E.ON in Nottingham. Following the spin-off of Uniper from E.ON, Michael moved back to Germany and is currently the Managing Director/CEO for Uniper Anlagenservice GmbH, the maintenance service provider of Uniper for the energy sector. Additionally, Michael holds a mandate in the Executive Board of VGB PowerTech e.V., the German Association of Power Plant Operators and is a lecturer at the KWS PowerTech Training Centre on APC Technologies.
