Marty Scholl
Marty overseas the UAS Operations for the Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District located in Elk Grove, California with an emphasis on precision mapping and spray technologies. The District has become a leader in the mosquito and UAS industry by working with hardware and software providers to develop spacial data analysis tools as well as spray technologies and strives to improve the decision making process utilizing UAS technologies as they continue to evolve. As the Ecological Management Supervisor, Marty coordinates UAS missions as well as captures and analyzes UAS aerial data for field drainage projects, mosquito breeding source detection, and UAS spray operations. Working with the District’s GIS and field operation departments, Marty and his team have developed internal work flows utilizing spectral analysis, automatic mosquito source detection, and RTK/PPK topographic modeling with a focus on field operations. These activities augment and improve existing District operations to help protect the public health from vector borne diseases.
