From corporate executive of a Fortune 100 insurance company to entrepreneur, Sharon Rossmark has an extensive and diverse business background. Sharon now leads Women And Drones, the premier global platform for women who are disrupting, innovating and shaping the future of the UAS industry. She has a proven track record of leading and building innovative initiatives designed to drive improvements in financial and operational performance. Sharon also has an extensive background in process improvement and implementing business transformation. A growing element of her company is the collaboration with community and educational programs to incorporate drones into STEM, robotics and aviation programming for youth with an emphasis on engaging girls. Sharon serves in leadership roles on various boards, including Special Olympics Illinois (Vice Chair) as well as the Washington DC based organizations Board Source (Treasurer) and the National Children’s Center (Chair Emeritus). She was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to the board of trustees at Illinois State University. She is a frequently requested speaker, panelist and facilitator on the topics of unmanned aerial vehicles, board governance and executive mentoring. Sharon has established an endowed scholarship to support U.S. military soldiers & veterans majoring in Business at Illinois State University. She is also the executive producer of a WWII documentary. Portions of the documentary appeared in an Emmy Award winning History Channel documentary.
