Sonal Baid




Sonal leads the Product Management & Strategic Operations teams at Kittyhawk, a leading drone operations and management solution backed by Boeing. Fascinated by flying machines since childhood, she found her passion in aircraft and received her Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University and went to work with TATA HAL Technologies as an Aircraft Structural Design Engineer. After four years of performing structural analysis on aircraft landing gear and various other critical aircraft systems, Sonal decided to venture into product management for unmanned aerial systems and received her Master of Technology Management from UC Santa Barbara. Inspired by the rapid innovation and potential of the drone industry, Sonal aspires to be a part of the unmanned aerial revolution. Sonal is an active member in organizations such as Girls Who Drone and Women in Aerospace and also participates in several mentorship programs to promote women in STEM and girls education in India and the United States.
