NCFI got its start in 1964 through a partnership between Dr. Harris W. “Ace” Bradley, who had worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII, and the Barnhardt family. Dr. Bradley was a true polyurethane pioneer, credited with perfecting the single shot pour method most North American foamers currently use. Since then we’ve expanded to over a million square feet of manufacturing space in Mount Airy and Hickory, NC, Dalton, GA, and Salt Lake City, UT.
Our Consumer Products Division is a recognized leader in quality and innovation. We currently make over 125 grades of foam serving a variety of industries and applications. With our proprietary fire resistant formulations, NCFI is the leading North American manufacturer of seating and interior foams used in the aerospace industry.
In 2016 we built our 75,000 square foot, state of the art mattress manufacturing facility. Fully automated with the latest machinery, this operation can produce one completely rolled and packaged mattress per minute. This state of the art facility has been designed with quality in mind. Our automated assembly line produces the highest quality and most consistent mattresses around- all 100% made in the USA!
Because we pour our own foam, we give our customers the ability to design a bed to their exact specifications. Instead of being me too, we provide our partners with materials that allow them to separate themselves in the market by providing the latest technology in in performance based polyurethanes, technically superior memory foams and the most up to date cooling technology!
