The Cicerone® Certification Program certifies and educates beer professionals in order to elevate the beer experience for consumers.
The program offers 4 levels of certification, starting with Certified Beer Server, Certified Cicerone®, Advanced Cicerone™ and the top level of Master Cicerone®. The exams cover five basic components: 1) keeping and serving beer; 2) beer styles; 3) flavor and tasting; 4) brewing process and ingredients; and 5) beer and food pairing. Since 2008, the program has certified nearly 95,000 Beer Professionals.
Cicerone Certification Program offers educational products including their award-winning e-learning program BeerSavvy®, the recently launched series of Road to Cicerone® coursebooks, Off-flavor/sensory training (Flavor Training by Cicerone), Beer styles profile cards, and a series of live, Bootcamp-style courses designed to help boost beer knowledge and bring skills to the next level.
