We provide premium vinifera wine grapes and juice year round. Grapes and juice are available fresh at harvest or shipped frozen across North America. We source from award-winning vineyards in Sonoma, Napa, Carneros, Columbia Gorge, Red Mountain and the Columbia Valley.
Peter Brehm launched Wine and the People, a homebrew and winemaking shop in Berkeley, California in 1972. Peter employed Byron Burch who wrote much of his first brewing book at the counter between customers. Peter enjoyed participating in the developing brew scene and lobbied U.S. Senator Alan Cranston as well his local State Representatives to help legalize home brewing.
While Peter enjoyed the brewing industry, his ultimate passion is in the vineyard. In 1986 he began focusing exclusively on sourcing wine grapes, rebranding as Brehm Vineyards. He's been doing it ever since and has developed the relationships and expertise to deliver world class grapes. In 1990 Peter planted his own vineyard in the Columbia Gorge and continues to source grapes across California, Oregon and Washington. Peter is delighted that the world of wine grapes has brought him back to his roots in brewing.
