The PulsON 440 (P440) OEM module forms the core of 5D's positioning solutions. Produced by its subsidiary, Time Domain, the P440 uses the speed of light to measure the distance between two sensor/transceivers. It has a operating range of over 350 meters and ranging accuracy of 1 centimeter. Applications include safe navigation of vehicles and robots, autonomous vehicle follower systems, collision avoidance, and precision surveying. It can also be used as a short range (30 meters) radar for obstacle avoidance, proximity sensing, intrusion detection, and drone altimetry.
