All Good Things Start with a Glass of Wine
For over 35 years The Sweetery has had a passion for creating exciting mouthwatering desserts by taking cherished recipes and giving them an innovative new twist. One such creation, The Sweetery’s Wine Sticks and Beer Buddies are no exception. One Saturday afternoon while having a glass of wine with friends Jane Jarahian, owner of The Sweetery, noticed that something was missing. She noticed that a snack was needed to compliment the wine as well as balance out the acidity, tannins, or dryness of the wine. Being an established baker, she knew just what to do. With a few ideas up her sleeve and a couple of traditional recipes, Wine Sticks were born. As the idea grew, so did the flavors of The Sweetery Wine Sticks. Each one was made to enhance the “afternoon wine time” experience. And once they caught on, people began to experiment with their own pairings of Wine Sticks with other beverages, spreads, and even ice cream! With several flavors to choose from, the possibilities are endless and The Sweetery Wine Sticks became the “anytime” snack. They have been written up in Southern Living, Paula Dean, and Good Housekeeping as well as being featured on ABC’s The Chew. The Sweetery’s creations are shipped everywhere from the Deep South to the Pacific Northwest and all parts in between.
