BT Labs releases its newest version of the AQT8-IP and AQT8-QAM/IP products to provide service operators a versatile trans-modulation device, encompassing the function and flexibility needed in today’s coax and/or IPTV distribution environments.
The AQT8 Series now has 64 SPTS IP outputs that can be enabled, independent of other configurations on the unit; i.e., if EAS is enabled or disabled, or if Muxing is being used.
The 8 channel modulator is now fully-agile. Any of the 8 channels can be placed anywhere within the cable spectrum; there are no longer adjacent-channel limitations.
There is now a 2:1 multiplex mode that will tune 8 ATSC channels, and Mux them automatically into 4 QAM channels.
There is a 9th tuner input, shared across all channels, with an internal amplifier and splitter to conveniently connect the unit with a single coax. Each tuner can choose to use the shared input or its own input, so 4 tuners could share one port, and the remaining 4 could have individual coax inputs.
