It’s what we do. Let’s Do it Well with Kolling Cards and Things Made Here!

Reflecting the Timelessness of Your Classic Cultural Treasures

It’s what we do. Let’s do it well together.

Notes from Your Artist--  Cindy Kolling,  Kolling Cards and Things Made Here!

I’ve learned that there is a difference between “trendy” and “fresh”.  It’s not my business to be trendy.  But we steadily do "fresh".

I like offering depth and balance, researched content and stable service. I like knowing my customers and their interesting places. I like knowing that my products are enhancing visitors’ experiences with extended interaction and informative activity.

Over the years, I have learned to really appreciate my company’s ability to provide timeless products to very specific market niches. While constantly evolving, my products, art styles and content are meant to sustain. My design and service goals aim to provide interesting, interactive, renewable and saleable products that encourage me, you, your buyer and the end gift recipient to reach out a little further, create a little more and to learn a little something new.   I love my job!

I see parallels in the stores I serve. These stores (including yours)  are reflective of a mission of protection, preservation and interpretation of cultural or historical treasure of some kind. While hot trends come and go, the goal of the stores doesn’t change. They sustain in their mission to offer quality, responsibly interpretive, memory keeping products that reflect the mission they represent.  They maintain as timeless; a classic treasure, not a passing trend.

In 30-plus years of business, trends have passed my way and provided opportunities to improve efficiency and equipment, challenged my skills.  I’ve been connected to customers that I may not otherwise have known.  I love my job! I learn great new stuff and try new design directions every day; but the basic goals remain stable.

Store buyers may reach out for a nip into a hot new trend “just because” which can be attractive and could certainly open a new door now and then.  But, there is a difference between a passing trend and a fresh twist on timelessness.

One should never stop reaching for freshness, but here in the business of offering enhancement and interpretation of timeless treasures… we can all be confident in our stability and direction as we reflect timelessness.

It’s what we all do!    Let’s all continue to do it well.

Thanks for your business!
