TEMPE, AZ, January 14, 2019—Versum Materials, Inc. (NYSE: VSM), a leading materials and equipment supplier to the semiconductor industry, will showcase its next-generation of specialty gases, materials and delivery systems and services in Booth 420, (located on the third floor) at SEMICON Korea. The event takes place January 23-25 at the COEX Conference and Exhibition Center in Seoul.
For the past 30 years, Versum has supplied a full range of localized delivery systems to the region. Representatives from the company will demonstrate two pieces of fabwide equipment during the exhibition—the GasKeeper™ Gas Cabinet and the ChemKeeper™ Chemical Delivery System.
Versum will also showcase ION-X®, a new line of products developed in collaboration with NuMat Technologies for the safe storage and delivery of subatmospheric dopant gases such as arsine, phosphine and boron trifluoride. With its Metal-Organic Framework (MOF), ION-X can selectively adsorb, store and safely deliver ultra-high purity gases at sub-atmospheric pressures. ION-X offers performance advantages over traditional carbon-based adsorbent technology used in the ion implant processes for the manufacture of semiconductor devices.
In addition to the ION-X, Versum will showcase several of its latest advanced container offerings. As part of the materials that the company provides, its containers are developed with the customers’ specific needs and tools in mind to enable the safe handling and delivery of the molecules. Versum continues to innovate new techniques to provide these products to its customers more efficiently and safely.
Versum is also in the process of making significant investments in its technology capabilities in Korea. A new CMP Center of Excellence is now under construction and is expected to be in operation in late 2019. Representatives from its Planarization business will be on hand to update customers on the capabilities of the new facility.
