Krystal Whitten Studio Announces National Stationery Show Debut
LAND O LAKES, FLORIDA – February 1, 2019 – An inspirational, hand lettered line of cards and paper gifts is headed to the National Stationery Show, 2019 at the Javits Center in New York City, February 3-6.
Krystal Whitten of Land O Lakes, FL is the owner and creative director of Krystal Whitten Studio, a colorful, inspiring line of paper gifts that turns scripture and inspirational words into hand lettered works of art. Krystal began hand lettering long before she knew what it was called.
“When I was fifteen, I started drawing scripture and song lyrics in all different styles of letters and taping them to my walls. It was my way of decorating my room with pretty letters and encouraging words that lifted my spirits,” says Krystal, who has a background in graphic design and typography.
But it wasn’t until nearly 20 years later that Krystal took her love for letters and doodling and turned it into a business creating hand lettered greeting cards and inspirational gifts like The Lettering Prayer Journal®, a creative way to connect with God, and Truth Cards™, which are twenty hand lettered scripture verse cards to encourage your heart.
“We know that words have power, to heal or to hurt, to build up or to tear down. I believe scripture has the power to comfort, to heal, and to bring peace,” says Whitten. “That’s why I do what I do. To spread joy and hope and encouragement in the world in a happy, hand lettered way.”
