LEGRAND SHOWCASES DIFFERNTIATING SOLUTIONS FOR THE CONNECTED HOME AT PCBC BOOTH #1845

San Francisco, CA (May 30, 2019) – A trusted innovator for the delivery and management of data, light and power, Legrand will share their latest contributions in technology for the connected home at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC), May 30-31, at the Moscone Center.

The full suite of products was engineered to meet customers’ expectations for homes that stand out in today’s market, while a comprehensive program of support and resources has been developed to further assist builder partners in securing sales.

Collections by Legrand

With the radiant and adorne collections, Legrand invites builders to elevate their offering through a variety of designer switches and outlets that grant industry-leading reliability alongside convenience and personalized style.

Smart Lighting from the radiant Collection simplifies daily life while putting comfort and safety at the forefront.  The first ever lighting devices to be certified from the industry standard for connected devices, the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF), Smart Lighting delivers ready-to-use connectivity and works seamlessly with other OCF-certified devices, including Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Nest. Plug-in units are also available, which allows for other plugged-in products to become “Smart” as well.

Smart Lighting devices install in place of standard switches and outlets, and connect to a user’s Wi-Fi network. Further combining design with advanced functionality, the connected devices can all be controlled, even remotely, via the "Legrand Smart Lights" App. Homeowners can then create and schedule whole home lighting schemes, or turn lights and appliances on/off, whether they are at home, at the office or away on vacation.

The radiant Wireless Charger is designed to work in place of any standard single-gang outlet to deliver convenient, clutter-free charging for Qi-enabled devices like the iPhone 8, iPhone X, and Samsung Galaxy. This charging unit also offers simultaneous charging via multiple access points, including two AC receptacles and one USB port, in addition to the wireless charging pad.

Also available from the radiant Collection, and on display for the first time at PCBC, the new Ultra-Fast 6A USB Charging Receptacles feature the fastest charging on the market, and can simultaneously charge two devices in half the time of standard USB outlets. These receptacles are also available with both USB Type-A and new Type-C connections.

The adorne Under-Cabinet Lighting features a modular system for bringing not just lighting and power, but audio, chargers, and cradles for tablets and smartphones to countertops. The system consists of three parts: a control source, including options with direct-to-outlet wire connectors and various combinations of dimmers and outlets; modular tracks, designed to clear clutter from countertops with direct installation into backsplashes and beneath cabinets and counters, accompanied by a variety of lighting options; and customizable modular devices including phone cradles, standard or USB outlets, speaker systems and more.

The system is designed to seamlessly integrate into kitchens, laundry rooms, and other spaces in the home with cabinetry and countertops.

Connectivity for Wi-Fi Ready Homes

Legrand’s booth will also highlight a complete offering of dependable networking and structured wiring products, perfect for building homes with the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the needs and preferences of prospective buyers.

“Today’s buyers expect connectivity,” explains Bob Fallert, Vice President of EWS Sales & Education for Legrand. “They are looking for options that let them enjoy greater comfort, safety and convenience in their new homes. Legrand helps builders make this an easy reality, with all the products and systems needed for Wi-Fi ready homes.”

Legrand’s newest On-Q Plastic Enclosures are constructed of Wi-Fi transparent plastic, to optimally support both wired and wireless services in a traditional structured wiring installation. This offers a true backbone for the modern connected home, consolidating and distributing foundational wired services for video, voice and data, while also integrating smart hubs and wireless devices to meet current and future customer demands.

Legrand will also be showing the robust innovative networking solutions they offer to make way for the Wi-Fi connected home. Luxul routers, switches and wireless access points, provide top-of-the-line custom integrated networks, and are backed in their promise of performance and quality by a Customer Assurance Program and 3-year warranty.
