Inspired by night time cityscapes and flowing movement, AW19 Superdry Sport allows kinetic prints and reflective trims to take centre stage. Visions of neon signage and exposed photography create a collection that mixes bold, edgy and urban undertones.
SuperdrySport’s menswear range captures the concept of moving through the city at night. A strong linear theme runs throughout demonstrated in key prints, branding and trims. Womenswear takes vivid and vibrant to a whole new level incorporating clashes of neon pops. Statement silhouettes of cross over branded elastic, colour blocking and mesh panelling dominate the range whilst abstract graphic language and logo elastics have been up-scaled.
Perfect for the athleisure consumer, women’s and men’s Core collection is where functionality meets fashion. Menswear delves into monochrome greys, whites and tonal blacks with a nod towards streetwear. Added depth is given through asphalt marl, camo print and deep teal and fig. The Gymtech Graphic Overhead is a hero piece, and has been updated with an innovative graphic and head bonded seal zippers. Womenswear’s Core 7/8 leggings and bra styles have been reinvented with linear logo elastic and see neon glow kinetic prints on a dark urban palette for high impact.
The AW19 Active range is created for movement. Both men’s and womenswear mixes design with performance, product contains attributes such as moisture wicking, breathability and reflectivity. Menswear brings a cotton touch feel and looser fit showcasing a new opportunity within this range; a considered package ideal for the studio or gym. Womenswear’s influence of kinectivity and city lights continues with the introduction of linear motion prints. The seamless bra has been updated with a higher neck and front zip detail, a key feature for the season.
Women’s Studio Active range includes soft oversized sweats that can be layered over peekaboo mesh panelled bras and leggings. Orchid and rose gold anchored back with an ethereal shadow ink print brings newness to a more feminine, contemporary collection. A seamless, body sculpting package for the more fashion forward consumer has been added for depth.
Branding has been refined across Superdry’s Performance-wear to be more muted in a black and silver reflective logo. This highly technical range is supported by a whole host of technologies with flock compression designed to shape, sculpt, compress and support the body. Womenswear now includes compression vests and leggings defined with simple and minimal graphics on matt black with reflective highlights. The menswear range has a strong stealth look and feel with a new performance gilet featuring ‘no sew quilting’ and stretch fabric with a water resistant finish. This season also sees an additional thermal and lightweight breathable package added, ideal for winter training.
Combining a twilight palette of dark, stormy tones elevated with bright highlights, SuperdrySport breathes a fresh air of confidence into wardrobes this AW19: the new season is here and we are ready for it.
