Every two years, a good chunk of the global automotive industry meets in Frankfurt for the biannual Automechanika Frankfurt. This year, close to 140 thousand visitors from 170 countries arrived in Frankfurt on September 13th to visit nearly 5000 exhibitors who were already setup in their booths at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center.
A successful show is expected if it’s Automechanika Frankfurt, but it’s unlikely that many expected the weather to be so warm. The coats stayed back in hotel room closets and everyone dragged their briefcases over to the show site Tuesday morning.
Temel Gaskets has been exhibiting at Automechanika Frankfurt for many years and every episode leaves a significant mark in Temel’s history. This year on the other hand was more significant than ever.
Temel Gaskets’ years of partnership has been formalized by Interface Performance Materials, awarding Temel Gaskets the exclusive recognition of being its Certified Partner in Turkey. A great honor for Temel Gaskets, this recognition will be Temel’s commitment to using Interface Performance Materials for fiber material needs for aftermarket production and our commitment to use the right grade for the application.

This formal agreement for collaboration with Interface is expected to provide a boost to the volume of business between the companies, while giving the platform to expand the scope of projects together.
Interface Performance Materials, its new leadership with Victor Swint and Paul Falete, recognized Temel Gaskets’ formalized status as a Certified Partner at a special dinner hosted during the week of Automechanika Frankfurt. The dinner was attended by representatives of other notable and respected sealing solutions manufacturers with close supplying relationships to Interface Materials. On behalf of the entire Temel Gaskets family, we would like to thank Doug Pfautz and Igor Chasiok for their years of support to Temel Gaskets and their significant contribution to Temel Gaskets becoming a Certified Partner.
Also in the same week, Temel Gaskets attended a very meaningful reception hosted by the US Consul General to Frankfurt, James Herman. The invitation came through Bill Hanvey of Auto Care Association. Temel Gaskets’ Director of Business Development is a member of the Auto Care Association’s International Trade Committee and several other members of this committee were present at the reception. We would like to thank Auto Care Association for their support in promoting international business and for encouraging their members to engage in platforms like Automechanika. The upcoming AAPEX is going to be once again another significant gathering of leaders of the automotive industry and auto parts manufacturers. Michael Barratt of Auto Care Association represented the leadership and spoke on behalf of the association.

On the fifth day of the show, Temel Gaskets wrapped up a successful week of pre-scheduled meetings with existing clients, introductions to new leads and conversations around many new products on display.
