Cielo Hammocks is a social organization that seeks to alleviate poverty and promote gender equality through the manufacture and distribution of hammocks around the world. "We are social impact entrepreneurs who recognize the incredible economic differences that exist in Mexico," says its director, Josefina Urzaiz. "That is why we have launched a group of organizations to promote social change, interrupt the cycle of poverty and promote gender equality." Its work is "to preserve the ancient Mayan customs, providing an outlet for income generation, entrepreneurship and innovation".

His project focuses on serving one of the most vulnerable sectors in Mexico and Latin America: artisans. Her business model, which Josefina describes as "holistic", takes into account all aspects that affect the sector globally. In addition, it is replicable and scalable, fosters entrepreneurship and guarantees sustainability over time.
