Event Network Teams With Sand Straw To Supply Reusable Drinking Straws Nationwide Two San Diego Based Companies Work Together to Eliminate Plastic Straws

SAN DIEGODec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Event Network, LLC, the leading cultural attraction retailer in North America, announced that it has joined with Sand Straw to supply reusable eco-friendly drinking straws to Event Network's retail shops throughout the United States.   

Event Network is currently including Sand Straw in over 60 of their stores throughout the country.  The beverage straws were initially introduced to a few stores and quickly sold out, so Event Network rapidly expanded distribution to meet demand.

Both Event Network and Sand Straw are headquartered in the San Diego area and are committed to sustainability and protecting the environment. The story of Sand Straw started one day with a trip to the beach. The company's founders, John Weil and Brian Ruthenberg, saw trash and plastic straws on the beach that they knew would end up polluting the ocean. They decided to come up with a solution. The result became eco-friendly straws that are made from a lightweight stainless steel that are machine washable and recyclable. Each straw represents a different animal that is affected by ocean pollution. With each purchase, Sand Straw donates 10% of their net profits to an organization that supports that animal. Their core philosophy is "Every straw makes a difference."
