Are you the Do It Yourself (DIY) type? If so, Sealed Air Repairs (SAR) offers a DIY service for iSUP repairs. Many times our customers are a long distance away from Orlando, and the time and expense of shipping 1 or more SUPs round trip, plus a typical repair cost of $150 per board can be too much.
So, if you have some basic tools and some mad skills, check it out:
The normal SUP repair fee is $150 plus shipping. But it's costly to ship a SUP from the west coast or northern US to Sealed Air Repairs in Orlando, FL. With round trip shipping and normal repair, it would cost about $225-$250. Some seam separations and other problems may require more skilled labor and do not qualify for DIY.
Start this process by sending us a few photos. Our staff will review them to determine if they are eligible for the DIY program.
Then if eligible, the cost of the DIY SUP service is $100 plus some added supplies that will cost about $25-$50 at most. A list of the needed supplies, along with an overview of how to repair the SUP, is provided with the purchase of the service. Then, we'll schedule a time for a SAR technician to walk you through the repair via FaceTime, Skype video or other method. The $100 fee allows up to 1 hour of video consultation, which in all cases has been more than enough time. We'll watch what you are doing and guide you through the repair.
