Miami, Fla. (January 23, 2019) — Nemeth had spent time reading about the science-based health advantages associated with charcoal, as well as the widespread use of it. He was very impressed by all this and began experimenting by infusing it into his towels.
“Activated charcoal is an amazing ingredient for which the benefits are tenfold. Thus, I was determined to figure out a way to incorporate it into my towels and after an extensive testing period, the Charcoal-Detox towel was born,” added Nemeth.
The Charcoal-Detox towel is made of 100% Aqua-Cotton® yarn infused with activated charcoal, which remains in the cotton for the lifespan of the towel. Similar to charcoal facemasks, these towels pull impurities from the face, leaving the skin clean and smooth. Any bacteria or toxins left after it is used will be gone when washed or dried with heat. Additionally, the infused charcoal will reactivate after each hot water wash or heated drying cycle. An added bonus? The 100% cotton towel is extremely smooth and gentle on skin, unlike plastic microfiber which can scratch the face and cause irritation.
“After doing extensive research on the benefits of charcoal and in particular how to infuse it into my towels, I discovered it would provide even more value to the towels. Our two priorities are to manufacture a towel that benefits the environment and that also contributes to a healthy life. Well, the Charcoal-Detox towel does both,” finished Nemeth.
Most towels use microfiber, a synthetic plastic which pollutes our oceans via the washing machine. Resolute in never using microfiber in his towels, Nemeth decided that infusing charcoal (a natural ingredient made from trees) would be another beneficial addition, so he introduced the Charcoal-Detox towel. If ever disposed of in our landfills or ocean, the towel will naturally degrade due to the absence of microfiber or other synthetic materials.
