SEATTLE, Monday, December 10, 2018 — For more than 40 years, HART Health has produced REI’s high-quality first aid kits. Now, the company is launching these same proven kits under a new brand: HART Outdoor.
HART Outdoor first aid kits provide superior in-the-field performance and ease of use to better serve outdoor enthusiasts when responding to first aid emergencies.
“Most first-aid kits offer low-quality products that have a hard time delivering when you need them most,” said Chris Simons, Product Development Purchasing Manager. “HART Outdoor wants customers’ experiences with our first aid kits to be different because we know accidents can happen on any kind of adventure – even if you’re just walking the dog around town.”
As the pioneers of the REI brand first aid kits, HART has more than 40 years’ experience producing the highest quality first aid kits on the market. By leveraging that experience, and adding a few improvements like better organization, clear labeling on every component, and enhanced quality, the NEW generation of HART Outdoor First Aid Kits are designed to deliver.
This requirement to deliver when the stakes are high is why HART has strict specifications for all components. HART Outdoor bandages stick better, the gauze is thicker, and the ointments and medications included in the kits have superior formulations. First Aid information is available in a handy and complete first aid manual that Outdoor Gear Lab called “an invaluable tool for assessing… and treating wilderness emergencies.” In addition, each kit is hand packaged by HART Outdoor staff in Seattle.
