Milt Fuehrer is the new chief executive officer of Belleharvest Sales Inc. after joining the Belding, MI, firm in December.
Milt FuehrerFuehrer told The Produce News on Jan. 7 that the board of directors has assigned him to develop a growth strategy for the Michigan apple packing and sales company.
Fuehrer has a long and broad experience in the food industry to help Belleharvest adjust to changing times. Most recently, he was the president of Palermo’s pizza in Milwaukee, WI. Over a five-year period, he was executive vice president and then the president of the pizza manufacturer. He said Palermo’s produced private labels for companies such as Walmart and Kroger, as well at its own pizza labels.
Fuehrer is a Michigan native and has under-graduate and graduate degrees from Michigan State University.
His food industry experience started with the pickle processor, Vlasic. For 23 years, he worked in Madison, WI, Chicago and California for Kraft’s Oscar Mayer division serving in strategic planning, technology and sales. Before joining Palermo’s, Fuehrer worked in the Texas flour processing business for 22 years, serving C.H. Guenther & Sons.
