AWT's Equinox™ allows printers to pick up their pace and improve their place in the textile race
Chicago, November 2019—Building on a recent run of successful product launches and redesigns, AWT World Trade, Inc. is pleased to announce the new Equinox™ single-color, multi-pallet textile printer, featuring a high-speed indexer for significantly improved production efficiency. Operators can unload and reload substrates while another is simultaneously printed, increasing production and realizing an output of up to 800pph.
With the multi-pallet turntable feature, printers can achieve higher rates of production typically associated with automatic equipment while still benefitting from the Equinox’s relatively compact footprint and lower price point. AWT intends to roll out more presses in this series in the future, including a four-pallet model and a two-pallet graphics printer.
The Equinox features front and rear frame holders that securely hold most frames, including re-tensionable frames, and securely locks screens into place for proper registration and outstanding print repeatability. A DC-controlled carriage drive ensures a smooth print stroke without any abrupt starts or stops.
Tool-free squeegee and floodbar pressure adjustment is also standard, a unique feature for this size press. Independent squeegee and floodbar locking angle adjustments, and independent speed controls for the squeegee and floodbar are also standard on the Equinox. A.W.T.’s patented Squeegeelizer™ assures uniform print pressure across the entire squeegee blade, resulting in consistent tone throughout the image.
