NY NOW® Winter 2020

SAMESYN (meaning "togetherness") exhibiting at first international show.

Thank you for your interest and welcome to our brand, SAMESYN.
SAMESYN, is an Afrikaans (South-African) language meaning "TOGETHERNESS”. We would love to tell you more about us!
At SAMESYN we are all about food! As an established Food Photographer and Food Stylist team we expanded our business by developing a range of Table Cloths, Table Runners and Tea Towels -  all inspired by food for our fellow foodies. We believe food brings people together and that the best memories are made with friends and family around a table. The best is, food can never go out of fashion!
Our team consists of Recipe Developer, Chef and Food Blogger - Elmarie Berry and Designer, Food & Lifestyle Photographer - Lindy Kriek. Together creating the brand SAMESYN.
All our products are created ourselves by styling and photographing images that we then have printed on various fabrics, from 100% linen to cotton-blends. Our designs are often nostalgic, and brings past and future generations together.
With consumers buying everything in a packet these days, we take our design inspiration back to the basics of where it all start -  the farmer and fresh farm produce. We believe the best food stories are told with quality and real produce combined with antique kitchen utensils that we inherited from our grandmothers, creating a new modern story without forgetting our history.
Although we acknowledge interior trends, our designs are still very different and unique, with each piece telling its own story - very similar to food photography.
At Samesyn we strive to make the ordinary exceptional, bringing beauty and inspiration into homes one table at a time. Our message is one of hope, love, beauty and celebration!
The SAMESYN fabric collection includes; Table Cloths, Table Runners, Tea Towels and Rain Coats. Our Table Cloths are often used as Wall Art. Our Tea Towels have various uses; to keep bread warm, as a guest towel, to cover food, to handle hot pots and pans, as a dish cloth / apron to wipe hands and even as art to frame.
In the 18th century England, a Tea Towel was a special linen drying cloth used by the mistress of the house to dry her precious and expensive china.
Today we still share the same values as then and hope that each piece bought from us will find a special and loved place in each home it finds itself in.
Please feel free to browse through our catalogue inside to see more about the designs and products we offer and contact details to contact us should you need more information.
Love, Elmarie and Lindy
