NY NOW Booth 3344– Carl Brandt, Inc., a specialty food importer representing notable food specialties from around the world, has launched Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies.
Unlike real fortune cookies, Pechkeks Misfortune Cookies are brutally honest and heartlessly funny. Each package, containing a black fortune cookie along with a slip of paper containing a “misfortune” and have four different motifs that are illustrated in scratchy black and white illustrations; a frightened black cat, evil teddy bears, a devilish being and a crazed monster.
The sayings don’t tread lightly and are not for people easily offended: “Penny for your thoughts? You still owe me change!”
