Ergotron, a global movement company focused on designing and manufacturing kinetic work environments, has announced Chad Severson as the organization’s chief executive officer. Chad has been serving as CEO for the company since January 1st of this year. Severson, who most recently served as president of InSinkErator, a division within Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions, succeeds Pete Segar in the role.

As a senior leader with deep experience in building high performance teams across a variety of industries, Severson will focus the company on business strategy, innovation, lean execution and challenge existing conventions to drive greater appeal upon non-endemic audiences.

A graduate of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., Severson began his career at Emerson following the completion of his Air Force commitment. He held roles in analysis, product management, sales and marketing before leading business units across multiple verticals, including HVAC, outdoor power, construction, automotive and consumer durables. Severson also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University.
