CAPPO 2018

Disaster Procurement Policy and Procedures (Room Mojave)

If a disaster occurs, is your agency ready? It is crucial that procurement professionals take the necessary actions during an activated emergency to receive federal funding. Specific purchasing policies must be established prior to a disaster, to insure that expenditures made during a disaster, meet the requirements of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and are eligible for reimbursement. Four CAPPO members will share lessons learned and best practices from their joint efforts to research and standardize procurement policies and procedures for disaster procurement and their path to agency adoption. The joint task force they created was known as the Disaster Procurement Bay Area Group (DPBAG). They will share their information and resources to help your agency become better prepared and achieve compliance for Disaster Cost Recovery.
